By the unyielding organ
Perched upon my chest,
Vitrified by a thousand aching promises—
I beg of you,
Do not proclaim me lost.
For as subtle equinox descends upon the soul,
And the embrace of darkness induces serenity
And ghostly frigidity,
I recount my blessings and
Morality bears sweet enthalpy.
Gentle compassion;
I feel my heartbeat
Soften.
It amounts to little because
What is not seen is not begotten.
They cast bitter gazes upon the miserly,
And still think me the same.
And yet! And yet!
Apricity denies intolerance!
You feel, do you not?
(And I believe this with all my
Glacial heart.)
But still I beg of you—
Heed me!
My breast cascades
With the gentle trickling
Of remorse.
Oh, I beg of you—
Have patience for me!
I wish to produce for you
A gregarious warmth so clement,
They shall seek sanctity
In the fore-despised.
Gift to me your understanding,
For I am human!
And I confess a heart of frost.
By the deliquescent organ
Perched upon my chest,
Softened by a thousand tender promises—
I beg of you,
Do not proclaim me lost.
Online, here on dA, mind you, but a competition all the same.
Hehe, I'm kinda nervous, but it's nice just to have this experience, so I'm glad to do this. ^^
