I come in droves, One among too many - Of a litter of misfits born Into a remarkable race Of ostensible insignificance. I am sustained by the waste Of whatever this wretched World drops at its feet. I scavenge remorselessly; I pick at your insecurities, Gnaw on the bones of your resolve, Find the flesh of your flourish And masticate, greedily. Squeaking and squealing when I find myself snared within The jaws and the coils of one Python called consequence - Unfortunately, I escape and only just. To you, I brazenly bear Brittle, sulfuric teeth; Crawling with the lice of An unremitting nihilism, Suckling at my determination To live. Nimble amidst mechanical Traps and prowling cats, Despised is the stench I Leave in my wake. Indeed, I am as revolting as I am Voracious – With these filthy paws I take and I take and I take.
